You Don’t Need Amazing Quality Audio To Win

The core reason I believe podcasters have a hard time growing their audience has nothing to do with quality of content.

That argument is LITERALLY nonsense.

Do you see how many low quality pieces of content go viral everyday on tiktok/ig/youtube?

We have a bigger problem here.Content going viral is not contingent on content being *good.*

It’s based on algorithms putting the right content in front of the right people.

If it’s good, it helps. But it’s not a necessary prerequisite. The reason you don’t see certain episodes ever go viral for podcasts (outside of huge names) is because there isn’t a true search engine for audio that has algorithms to allow this to happen.

There’s…RSS feeds. And those rss feeds just host your content.

The big audio apps don’t promote random content sourced from rss feeds.

And then you as the podcaster have to drive all the traffic to the platform just to get some listens.

It’s actually insane lolWe need a platform to do what youtube has done for video — get communities forming around specific niches and then target those niches (via a feed) with audio content they would actually click on and consume.

Hint: that ONLY happens in one, centralized spot.

BTW, that centralized spot cannot be a platform with a ton of exclusive deals with podcasters already :)

This is why we built Audea — we want to fundamentally change how audio content is discovered and distributed, to actually bring discovery to audio at scale.
